Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan – In an effort to upskill the youth and bridge the digital divide in the region, uConnect Technologies has partnered with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to successfully execute a six-month training program on various technology-related topics.

The program, which was held at the SCO Software Technology Park in Gilgit, provided training to approximately 350 trainees from various districts in the region. The training covered a wide range of topics, including Front-End DevelopmentMERN Stack DevelopmentGame Development & ModelingCloud Computing, and Mobile App Development.

The program was designed to equip the trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the rapidly-evolving tech industry. The curriculum covered both theoretical and practical aspects of the topics, with an emphasis on hands-on experience and real-world applications.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with NAVTTC to provide training to the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan. We believe that investing in the education and training of our youth is crucial for the region’s development and growth,” said uConnect Technologies CEO, Ejaz Karim.

The program received overwhelming support from the local community, with many of the trainees expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to learn new skills and improve their prospects in the job market.

“This program has been a life-changing experience for me. I never thought I would have the opportunity to learn about the latest technology and have access to the resources and support that have been provided,” said trainee, Komal Baig.

The program’s success has led to plans for uConnect Technologies and NAVTTC to collaborate on similar initiatives in the future, with the aim of providing more training opportunities to the youth in the region.

The training program has been a resounding success, with a majority of the trainees going on to start their own businesses or secure employment in the IT industry. Nearly 60% of the students who completed the program have successfully started their own startups or have secured employment with leading companies in the IT industry. The program not only provided the trainees with the necessary technical skills but also helped them develop entrepreneurial skills that enabled them to start their own businesses and create jobs for others. The success of this program is a testament to the effectiveness of the training provided and the impact it has had on the lives of the trainees and their families. This success has encouraged uConnect Technologies and NAVTTC to continue their partnership in order to provide more youth with access to similar training and opportunities.
