uConnect and KADO have signed an MoU to collaborate on various skill development programs in the remote villages of Gilgit-Baltistan. The signing ceremony was attended by uConnect CFO, Mr. Naeem, and KADO CEO, Ms. Mehnaz Parveen. Under this MoU uConnect will assist KADO in establishing the first-ever IT centers in the Ghulkin Village and Nagar Khas to empower the youth in these remote areas.

Through this joint initiative, youth will get the opportunity to learn and explore the latest IT tools and trends at their doorstep. Moreover, this program aims to prepare youth for the emerging IT markets by working on their skill development.

Both uConnect and KADO believe that in this day and age, youth needs to be skillful enough to compete at the international level. These training programs under the Tech Village initiative will assist and prepare youth in exploring the various remote work opportunities.

Tech Villages

The First Batch of three-month skill development programs started at Ghulkin Village and Nagar Khas, where candidates were trained in Digital marketing, including Social Media Marketing, Content Writing, and Search Engine Optimization. KADO and uConnect trained 25 youth in Digital Marketing from each village.

After successfully completing a 3 Month training program, candidates will be able to provide their services online on different freelance platforms.

uConnect and KADO plan to continue this partnership to open more Tech Villages in the near future. They aim to extend the training program to the other districts as well.
